Vehicle comparisons
Fair, sourced comparisons for northern Alberta buyers: drive systems, powertrains, and how to compare the vehicles on your shortlist.

Spec sheets make every vehicle look good. Our comparisons focus on what matters for northern driving: long distances between towns, gravel, cold starts, and winters that run from October to April.
How we compare vehicles
- We use official figures, and say where they come from. Range and fuel-consumption ratings come from the manufacturer or Natural Resources Canada, and we label them as ratings, not real-world results.
- We say what depends on the trim. Drive systems, towing equipment and cold-weather features often differ between trims of the same model.
- We don't quote prices. Prices change, and in Alberta an advertised price has to be the all-in price. For current pricing, check a dealer's listing.
- We're upfront about who we are. We're owned by a dealer group, so you'll see our own stores in the links. We still recommend comparing against other options.
